The Constellation Model Flying Club is Located in Adelaide, South Australia and the Club was established in 1946. This is the oldest Model Aero Club in South Australia.
The CMFC Hosts several Club and state events throughout the year. On the days where special events are held, general flying is not permitted until the event is completed.
Most Saturdays, there is a sausage sizzle held at the field. There are drinks available for a reasonable cost. Members and visitors should bring their lunch with them to the field, as there are no nearby facilities.
We hold a 100 Lap Pylon Race once a year, generally in September.
We host the Golden Era Air Races – it is the Premier Scale Air Race on the Australian RC Calender. This is a bi-annual Event and is held over 3 days In April.
SAFETY and Pilot competency:
Only pilots with a wings accreditation are permitted to fly solo at the CMFC field. All trainee pilots who have been authorized to practice solo flying by an accredited instructor shall do so under the supervision of an instructor/club assistant instructor or a gold wings member.
